Real wood, engineered to stay put
The top layer is the same timber you would get in a solid board. Underneath, cross-layered plies resist the swelling and cupping that humidity causes. In a coastal home, that difference shows up within the first year.
Where it works best
Living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. We would steer you toward vinyl plank for a bathroom, a laundry room or anywhere standing water is likely — it is the honest recommendation, even though hardwood is the pricier sale.
Finish and feel
Matte and wire-brushed finishes hide daily life better than high gloss, and they suit the light in most Florida homes. Bring a photo of the room and we will narrow it down quickly.
Installation matters more than the box
Acclimation, moisture testing on the slab and the right adhesive or underlayment decide whether the floor is still tight in five years. That preparation is part of our quote, not an extra.

Can engineered hardwood be refinished?
Usually once, sometimes twice, depending on the thickness of the wear layer. Thicker top layers cost more and buy you that option later.
Is it noisy underfoot?
Less than laminate. With the right underlayment it is quiet, which also matters if you are in a condo with an HOA sound rating to meet.
Hardwood or vinyl plank?
Hardwood for the look and feel of real timber in dry rooms; vinyl plank for water, pets and heavy traffic. We will tell you which fits your rooms rather than which costs more.
